Summary

The Office of Inspector General is initiating an audit on the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) oversight of airport revenue at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). FAA regulations and Federal statutes require that airport revenue be spent for the operating and capital costs of an airport. Several Members of Congress have requested that we review allegations of revenue diversion at LAX. Accordingly, our audit objective is to evaluate FAA’s oversight of Los Angeles International Airport revenue use.
