| Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver Health Assessment (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health [NIOSH] collaborative agreement with FMCSA Research) |
| For the last few years, FMCSA has been working with NIOSH to plan a research project that will provide a health assessment of transportation workers. In 2007, FMCSA will be partnering with NIOSH in the development of a cooperative research program that will assess, prevent, and treat occupational-related medical conditions. The first step in this program is to develop and conduct a Health Surveillance Survey that will be given to transportation workers to gain a better understanding of existing medical conditions and work-related injuries.
