Tipton Stands Up for Rural Students and Communities

Tipton Examines Small Business Innovative Energy Solutions
House Small Business Agriculture, Energy and Trade Subcommittee Chairman Scott Tipton today held a hearing to examine innovative ways small businesses contribute to energy production. Specifically, the Subcommittee focused on advanced biofuels, such as cellulosic ethanol, and new innovative technologies small companies have developed to produce energy from previously unused materials.

Tipton introduces education legislation
Rep. Tipton introduced The Education and Energy Act of 2011. This act will dedicate 33% of the federal portion of oil and gas revenues that are derived from leases for tracts located in a state, back to the department of education of that particular state.
