CTS builds unique facility

Ralf Schrade, 86th Construction and Training Squadron project manager, looks over the construction of the new Deployable Joint Command and Control Center for the 1st Combat Communications Squadron, Jan. 18, on Ramstein Air Base. The DJC2 is scheduled to be finished this summer. The environmentally friendly facility will house a maintenance bay to test palletized and vehicle-mounted communications equipment in simulated field conditions, a laboratory for testing electronics, and training.
