Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives

Thank you for visiting the website of USAID's Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (CFBCI). It is our aim to better equip faith-based and community development organizations around the world as they provide assistance to people in need. We do this by serving as a bridge between small non-governmental organizations and USAID; by connecting groups with relevant points of contact at USAID and informing groups of various partnership opportunities on a range of development challenges; and by encouraging collaboration among the people and organizations addressing human suffering around the world.

We hope this website will be a useful resource for you. To start, be sure to check out our frequently asked questions. You can learn more about our history as well as the USAID Final Rule on participation by religious organizations in USAID programs.

Finally, be sure to stay current on the happenings in our office and USAID by visiting our

events page and signing up for our email newsletter which provides regular updates on USAID news, development events, and grant opportunities, as well as announcements of conference calls and meetings hosted by the CBFCI. As always please don't hesitate to contact our office with any questions.

Warmest Regards,

Mark Brinkmoeller
Director, Center for Faith-based & Community Initiatives
