Legrand
Challenge Commitment
5 Plants
Goal
25% Reduction in Energy Intensity by 2021
Market Innovation
Legrand is installing sub-meters at all of its facilities, whether offices, manufacturing plants, or warehouses. By using sub-metering solutions to bring instantaneous transparency of energy consumption, a host of energy efficiency opportunities will become apparent, spanning the reconfiguration of existing systems, equipment updates and employee behavior changes. Sub-metering will help identify the changes needed to achieve the goal of 10% energy intensity reduction in two years.
Progress to Date
In December 2010, Legrand made a commitment to reduce its energy intensity across 14 U.S. sites. Since then, Legrand has embarked on a journey of energy efficiency-embracing projects ranging from lighting upgrades and controls to weatherization to manufacturing process changes.
