Trucks and Terrorism - Seminar/Workshop Description

Trucks and Terrorism - Seminar/Workshop
Rapid Risk Recognition, Assessment, and Response

Description

The 6- to 8-hour Situational Awareness Seminar is free of charge. There are no registration fees or tuition charges. This seminar is hosted by law enforcement agencies, transportation security, or other CMV industry officials, and is presented by representatives of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Seminar emphasis is on the identification and interdiction of a "threat" before an incident or a suspect truck enters a workplace or community. Attenders will receive an introduction to simple and time-proven techniques that support the development of a totality of the circumstance assessment of everyday scenarios. Using the techniques demonstrated in this seminar has enabled countless officials to successfully identify and interdict in-transit criminals while a crime was being committed, or before a crime or act of violence.
