Current Interns
Meet our Spring Semester Interns:
Mandy Abbott is a 3L at Wake Forest University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and a Master of Public Administration degree from East Carolina University. Previously, Mandy worked as a judicial intern to Justice Paul M. Newby of the North Carolina Supreme Court and as a research assistant to Professor Sidney Shapiro.
Samantha Aster is a 2L at American University’s Washington College of Law; she completed her undergraduate work at the University of Maryland-College Park. Samantha is currently the Executive Editor for The Modern American. She was the Legal and Legislative Intern this summer at the National Women’s Political Caucus, and interned with Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. in Washington DC in college. Samantha was also a student research assistant to Dr. Wayne McIntosh, where she assisted in the classification of new and upcoming Supreme Court cases for a new database.
