192nd Fighter Wing

The 192nd Fighter Wing's Raptor mission is to provide both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions allowing full realization of operational concepts vital in the 21st century. The federal mission of the 192nd Fighter Wing is to maintain the highest possible degree of combat readiness so as to be an effective combat unit to the U.S. Air Force upon mobilization. The 192nd Fighter Wing currently flies and maintains the F-22A Raptor in the 149th Fighter Squadron, supports the ongoing intelligence mission in the 192nd Intelligence Squadron, and supports the 735th Supply Chain Management Group under the Air Force Global Logistics Support Center.

<p>There's a lot more to protecting an Air National Guard aircraft from damage than meets the eye. As a Low Observable Aircraft Structural Maintenance Specialist, you'll use your expert knowledge of chemistry and physics to advise on structural and low observable repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatment. This will involve applying Radar Absorbent Material pastes, polycarbonate transparencies, edge sealing compounds, adhesives, primers, or conductive films. You'll also learn to mix multi-part adhesives, sealants, fillers, fairing materials, and organic topcoats, plus use metalworking equipment and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts to damaged structures and components. The Materials Management Specialist is in charge of obtaining all the supplies and equipment an Air Guard unit could possibly need for any conceivable mission and getting them into the right hands. <p>The safety and security of the people, property and resources of the Air National Guard is the sole mission of Security Forces. A career as a Security Forces Specialist requires extensive training in law enforcement and combat tactics since you'll work both stateside on bases and overseas where you'll often patrol off base. In this role, you'll ensure the safety of all base weapons, property and personnel from hostile forces, conduct investigations into any on-base incidents, apprehend and detain suspects, secure crime scenes and testify in judicial proceedings.
