Correspondence

In response to a request from Representative Frank Wolf, we updated our January 2001 review of issues concerning FAA's pilot rest regulations. FAA has been slow in addressing several key issues, including (1) enforcement of duty time and rest requirements as clarified in a May 17, 2001 Federal Register notice; (2) issuing new flight time, duty time and rest regulations and (3) a pending enforcement action on reserve crew rest regulations.
