Standards Education
Overview
The U.S. Standards Strategy has identified establishing standards education as a high priority within the United States. Its goal is to develop or significantly enhance standards education programs that address the needs of industry leaders, those who develop standards, and university and college students within the United States.
Overall there is a need to expand general awareness of standardization and increase the resources and programs offered in academia as well as in professional education in order to develop well-trained standardization experts to keep the U.S. competitive. [read background and NIST role]
