Brian Lally to present Seminar on "America Invents Act", February 26, 2013; 1:00pm, 301B Spedding Hall.

Brian Lally, our DOE Patent Counsel, will be in Ames to present a seminar on the new America Invents Act, which changed our patent law from "first inventor" to "first inventor to file".  See how the new Act will affect your ability to publish, present and discuss with others potentially patentable information.

Brian will also meet with Scientists and others interested in providing DOE funded Open Source Software to the public.  Our DOE Contract  requires that certain approvals and documents be obtained from or provided to DOE.  In addition, different OSS licenses have different terms and conditions, so it helps to know which type of OSS license to put on your software.   The seminar and discussion will be:
