Runyan Visits Lincoln Technical Institute

Washington, D.C. – On Wednesday October 3rd, Congressman Jon Runyan (R-NJ) toured the 35,000 square foot campus of Lincoln Technical Institute in Moorestown to meet and interact with stakeholders, teachers, and students to learn about the programs and services this learning institution provides New Jersey’s 3rd District.

“It was great to meet with administrators, faculty, and students here at Lincoln Tech in Moorestown” said Congressman Runyan.  “Watching how invested the organization is in the students and how the students valued what they were being taught is an excellent reminder of what a program like this can do for our local community. The educational programs offered here in Moorestown allow students to learn the necessary skills to go out into the workforce and fill jobs right here in South Jersey”.

“We greatly appreciate Congressman Runyan taking the time to learn more about Lincoln Technical Institute and the benefits we offer South Jersey”, said Scott Shaw, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Lincoln Educational Services Corporation. “Our campus currently employs 90 staff and faculty members, and has helped 497 students find employment within the last year while continuing to educate hundreds more. The skills taught here benefit our graduates, as well as the local workforce, while meeting various small and large businesses’ demand for qualified employees throughout the tri-state area. We welcome Congressman Runyan’s interest in our educational offerings and thank him for allowing us to showcase our role in South Jersey’s economy."

The Lincoln Technical Institute in Moorestown, originally founded in Newark, New Jersey in 1946, offers programs in Medical Assisting, Medical Administration, Nursing, and Computer Networking. These programs are especially vital to the 3rd District given the medical and technological facilities in our area. By partnering with major drivers of our local infrastructure and economy like Virtua Hospital, Cooper Hospital, and Philadelphia Sports Clubs, Lincoln Tech’s programs help to train the professionals of tomorrow.
