Day Use Fees

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Cumberland charges a day use fee at selected areas. The recreation areas on Lake Cumberland charging these fees are Waitsboro, Fishing Creek, Cumberland Point, Halcomb’s Landing, Kendall and Fall Creek. These areas offer some or all of the following: swimming beaches, playgrounds, boat launching ramps, bathrooms, picnic sites and picnic shelters. The fee at Fishing Creek is $4.00 per vehicle and $3.00 at all other recreation areas. Persons walking into a recreation area are charged $1.00 per person per day (children under 12 are free). Fishing Creek is the only area that has a swimming beach. Current Golden Age and Golden Access Passport holders and America the Beautiful Interagency Senior & Access Pass holders will receive a 50% discount on these fees.  A photo id must accompany the pass to receive the discount.  A paid camping permit from a Corps operated campground will entitle the holder to use any designated day use facility without paying the day user fee on the day for which the camping permit is valid.

Annual Passes

Day Use Annual Passes are available for sale year round at the Lake Cumberland Resource Manager's Office and at the following campgrounds during their open season: Waitsboro, Fishing Creek, Cumberland Point and Kendall Campgrounds.  Annual Passes cost $30.00. A half-price discount is given for the holder of a Golden Age/Access Passport or of an America the Beautiful Interagency Senior or Access Pass. The Annual Pass is good at all similar day use facilities nation wide at any Corps project charging a day use fee.  The Corps of Engineers will honor the ATB U.S. Military Annual Pass for free access into day use areas.  We regret that we cannot honor the America the Beautiful Interagency Annual Pass. It is issued by federal agencies (including the National Park Service) who charge entrance fees and is an annual pass for entrance fees only. The Corps does not charge entrance fees, only use fees.
