106th Rescue Wing
The 106th Rescue Wing’s primary mission is Combat Search and Rescue. The Wing is a highly specialized unit able to go anywhere in the world within a moment's notice. The Airmen tasked to carry out these missions are the elite Pararescue Jumpers. These Airmen are as versatile as the tools they use, which include the HH-60(G) Pavehawk Helicopter and the HC-130(T) Hercules Cargo Plane. The main advantage for having such versatile and advanced aircraft is mid-air refueling, which broadens our rescue capabilities and ultimately saves lives. The 106th is located in Westhampton Beach, New York.
