Major Gifts at Walsh College

Our goal is to establish and strengthen relationships which fulfill the philanthropic goals of Walsh alumni and friends while providing funding for major College initiatives.  Major Gifts, unlike Annual Gifts, are gifts that are endowed or have lasting impact on the growth and continued success of Walsh College. Quite simply, major gifts help make major improvements to the school and to the lives of our students.

A major gift is a gift that is personalized with your specific interests in mind. We look forward to personally visiting with you to explain what constitutes a major gift, explain current funding initiatives and offer guidance on ways to fund a project of interest.

Once an initiative is selected, a detailed proposal will be created outlining the mutual agreement between Walsh College and you. That proposal will detail the impact your gift will make to the College.

After the gift has been established, you will receive personal, on-going interaction from the development team.  We will share current information about the school, provide updates on the progress of the initiative you’ve funded, and extend periodic invitations to meet with Walsh students and faculty.  Our goal is a dynamic partnership that is mutually beneficial for years to come.

Driving Aspirations Campaign
Building a thriving economy through educated individuals.

Walsh College’s major funding campaign is called ‘Driving Aspirations.’ Our goal is to positively affect the aspirations of our students by expanding educational resources at Walsh College.  Our success in doing so will, in turn, provide a strong workforce to grow our local economy.   A thriving workforce provides support for cultural institutions and human service agencies at the same time it promotes a robust quality of life.  Expanding educational opportunities at Walsh College strengthens our 90 year commitment to providing a business education which is as practical as it is quality-driven.

The key initiatives to the Driving Aspirations Campaign:

  • Finance Lab
  • Blackstone Launch Pad
  • Scholarships

Archie Waring Society
The Archie Waring Society was established to recognize and celebrate the generosity and dedication of alumni and friends who make provisions for planned gifts to the College, and to bring you information about the wide variety and importance of such gifts and how to go about creating them. To learn more about Planned Giving click here.

The Walsh College Foundation accepts gifts of cash, stock and other securities and some real property, subject to approval by the Walsh College Board of Trustees.

To learn more about any of the funding opportunities please contact someone from our development staff.

The Walsh College Foundation has 501(c)(3) non-profit tax exempt status; our federal tax ID number is 20-0664128.
