The Directorate of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (DMWR) includes a wide range of activities and facilities for Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. Our mission is to increase the effectiveness of the Army by assisting commanders and maintaining the morale, the mental and physical fitness, promoting social well-being of military personnel, their families and other authorized users by providing a wide range of social, recreational and entertainment programs. This is accomplished by promoting maximum participation in planned and diversified activities. Planning, developing and implementing through program managers and activity managers all supervised MWR activities including: Sports, Outdoor Recreation, Arts & Crafts, Auto Crafts, Entertainment, Clubs, Bowling Centers, and Golf Courses. The MWR Office is located at 778 Gulick Avenue, Building 443. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday and closed on holidays. The office can be contacted at (912) 767-8660.
