The Readiness Support Center (RSC) provides the contingency responder training, tools, and programs designed to credential and field a professional workforce, whether it be Emergency Management or civil or military contingency. Programs administered by the RSC strengthen and ensure USACE’s capability to respond to civil and military contingencies. This focused approach is accomplished through the TEAMS acronym, which includes Training and Exercise development, Accreditation programs for individuals and organizationally through the Emergency management Accreditation Program - EMAP - and Modeling and Simulation through its SimSuite program.
To this end, the RSC oversees the establishment and implementation of a curriculum and a suite of mission scoping and analytical tools to support contingency responders. The RSC also administers the contingency responder curriculum through self-paced training via the web and disc distribution and through live in-residence training, exercises, workshops, and conferences. This site provides many of the training title products. Exercise Support Tool programs and multimedia training discs are catalogued as well.
The SimSuite (accessed through the link on the menu bar) is a web-based simulated training tool for various scenarios and is accessible via this web portal. The RSC directly supports the strategic and tactical development of the Corp's Teams, Programs and Tools for the contingency responder.
