Federal Agents Arrest 28 at Phoenix Airport for False Security Badge Applications

Summary
Federal agents arrested 28 employees working at the Phoenix Sky Harbor, AZ, International Airport on charges of making false statements on their applications for airport security badges. The arrests followed a Federal grand jury indictment of 33 employees; 5 of the workers at still at large. The employees, who worked in various positions, all had access to secure areas of the airport. The investigation was conducted jointly by the OIG, U.S. Social Security Administration OIG, FBI, INS, and U.S. Marshals Service.
