42 multi-page documents have been digitized from this series. These are sample case files for veterans treated at the Battle Mountain Sanitarium in Hot Springs, South Dakota. The case files contain application forms, roster cards, medical treatment reports, ward records, personal property inventories, transfers from other veteran's hospitals, and sometimes correspondence. The service dates of the veterans extend from the Civil War to World War I. These materials are held by NARA's Rocky Mountain Region (Denver, CO).Search Hint: To retrieve the 42 multi-page digitized documents:

93 documents have been digitized from 7 personnel files of the Army, Marine Corps, and Navy. 50 documents are from the personnel files of General Douglas MacArthur, General Benjamin O. Davis, Audie Murphy, and Elvis Presley from the official United States Army Personnel files among the Records of the Army Staff Record Group 319; 24 documents are from the personnel file of Gregory Boyington from the Official Military Personnel Files among the Records of the United States Marine Corps Record Group 127; and 19 documents are from the personnel files of Richard Evelyn Byrd and John F. Kennedy of the Official Military Personnel Files of the Records of the Bureau of Naval Personnel Record Group 24. These materials are held by NARA's National Personnel Records Center (St. Louis, MO).
