Information Assurance Center
Walsh College is designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security.
Walsh is the only school in Michigan that maps to five of the CNSS standards. Nationwide, NSA has designated only 100 schools as Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE). Walsh is very proud to be a designated CAE.
The Walsh College Information Assurance Education Center provides organizations with education, information and training in responding to cyber threats, protection, compliance, and privacy issues.
A recent survey revealed that almost half of the professionals in the field of information technology believe that there will be a major attack on their IT systems in the next year. And what’s worse, they also believe most companies aren’t prepared.
Protecting the technology infrastructure is essential to our economy and our national security. That’s why The President`s National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace was established and why the National Security Agency has designated Walsh College as a Center of Academic Excellence to provide educational programs to protect us from these threats.
