Policies

The Acquisition Services Directorate operates within the U.S. Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center (IBC). The IBC provides a variety of administrative and financial services to DoI bureaus and offices and other Federal agencies through two separate funds, the Working Capital Fund and the Interior Franchise Fund. The AQD’s purpose is to provide procurement services to agencies throughout the Federal Government.

The Interior Franchise Fund was authorized by Section 403 of the Government Management Reform Act of 1994 (GMRA), Pub. L. 103-356, and the Department of the Interior Appropriations Act, 1997, Pub. L. 104-208, div. A, title I, § 101(d) [title I, § 113].

In this section, we provide access to policies, procedures, information requests and transmittals, and other information that the public relies on to ensure compliance with Federal Internet statutes and regulations.
