Compliance, Governance, and Audit Certificate

The Compliance, Governance, and Audit Certificate will build on previously obtained knowledge, and prepare you to develop and support an incident response program for an organization. This certificate will give you the ability to assist organizations with their digital forensics and investigative needs, while acquiring knowledge that will prepare you to take the CISA certification exam. 

Admissions Criteria
Available to individuals holding a bachelor's or master's degree. Applicant must possess a bachelor's or master's degree in a computer-related field or provide documented competency in the area of computer security. A minimum of one of the following is required:

  • Security+ Certification
  • CIW Security Certification
  • Network+ Certification
  • Microsoft Certification (MCITP, MCSA, MCSE, MCTS)
  • Novell Certification (CNA, CNE, MCNE)
  • CISCO Certifications (CCNA, CCNE, CCIE)
  • Security Certifications (CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CISSP, SSCP, CPP, CRISC)

OR

Two years of verifiable professional-level, full-time work experience in network design/development/administration or information assurance.

OR

Successfully complete with a grade of "C" (2.000) or better:

  • BIT 501  Information Systems Methodology
  • BIT 502  Program Design and Development 
  • BIT 525  Fundamentals of Networks and Telecommunications

Gainful Employment Disclosure Statement

For the most recent year, colleges were requested to report data, occupations in which graduates typically find employment after completing the Compliance, Governance, and Audit Certificate, including Information Security Analysts. Further information on occupations may be found at http://online.onetcenter.org/crosswalk/ and entering the SOC code of 15-1122. The normal time-frame for completing the certificate is 10 semesters if a student takes all foundation and required courses. The normal time-frame for completing the certificate is 5 semesters if a student takes only required courses. For students who had to complete all required and foundation courses, we estimate that tuition and fees would total $19,520 and that books and supplies would total $1,890. For students who had to complete only required courses, we estimate that tuition and fees would total $9,760 and books and supplies would total $945. Walsh College is not required disclose the median loan debt and on-time completion rate of students when less than 10 students completed the program during the reported calendar year.
