The course is entitled MILDOS-Area Workshop. A description of the new course is below. H-413, MILDOSE-AREA Workshop - The MILDOS-AREA computer code calculates the radiological dose commitments received by individuals and the general population within an 80-km radius of an operating uranium recovery facility. In addition, air and ground concentrations of radionuclides can be estimated for individual locations, as well as for a generalized population grid. This three day course will provide instruction on using the MILDOSE-AREA computer code to perform these calculations, and will focus on radiological dose assessments associated with point, area and in-situ leaching sources. Interactive computer demonstrations will guide the participants through data input and output steps. Instructor support would help the students complete the hands-on problem solving sessions throughout the workshop. Anyone interested in registering for the H-123 course will need to submit a training application to Brenda.Usilton@nrc.gov or fax a copy to 301-415-3502. |
