Fourth day at Washington D.C. and what an experience it has been so far! Completely unexpected. Today we toured the capital, browsing historic sites and monuments. The Islamic center on Massachusetts Avenue was breath-taking. We toured the house of the vice president Joe Biden, and that of Hillary Clinton, we toured world embassies, the George Washington University, the Willard Hotel, the Hoover FBI building, the Navy memorial, a peek at the Pentagon, the White House, the Vietnam war memorial, Smithsonian Museums, to list a few! All of which were astounding. D.C. is full of life and history. Standing before the large monument of Abraham Lincoln, I remembered his moral capacity and character which made him the great historical leader that he was. I thought, "Wow! This is really him." Great experience!
