Geography and Environment
shapefile, funnel, thunderstorms, storms, ...
The National Weather Service (NWS) Storm Prediction Center (SPC) routinely collects reports of severe weather and compiles them with public access from the database called SeverePlot (Hart and Janish 1999) with a Geographic Information System (GIS). The composite SVRGIS information is made available to the public primarily in .zip files of approximately 50MB size. The files located at the access point contain composite track information regarding tornados, large hail, and damaging winds for the period 1950-2006. Although available to all, the data provided may be of particular value to weather professionals and students of meteorological sciences. An instructional manual is provided on how to build and develop a basic severe weather report GIS database in ArcGis and is located at the technical documentation site contained in this metadata catalog.

Interest Rate Statistics - Daily Treasury Real Yield Curve Rates (Current month)

statistics, aa, rates, yield curve, ...
Treasury Real Yield Curve Rates. These rates are commonly referred to as "Real Constant Maturity Treasury" rates, or R-CMTs. Real yields on Treasury TIPS (Treasury Inflation Protected Securities) at "constant maturity" are interpolated by the U.S. Treasury from Treasury's daily real yield curve. These real market yields are calculated from composites of secondary market quotations obtained by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The real yield values are read from the real yield curve at fixed maturities, currently 5, 7, 10 and 20 years. This method provides a real yield for a 7 year maturity, for example, even if no outstanding security has exactly 7 years remaining to maturity.

Data Center Closures – Midwest
Data Center Closures – Midwest
Federal Government Finances and Employment
fddci, ...
The Administration has expanded the data center consolidation initiative to include data centers of any size, rather than just those 500 square feet and above. And as we expand the initiative we are also expanding our goal. Moving forward, the government’s goal will be to close at least 40% of identified data centers, consistent with our original consolidation goal. That means we’ll be looking to consolidate at least 1200 data centers by the end of 2015 – a goal that requires us to continue aggressively rooting out duplication and waste in our expanded baseline of 3,133 data centers. This update also reflects a shift from calendar year to fiscal year reporting.
This dataset reflects information provided by the agencies. All questions or inquiries should be directed to the specific agencies. The FY2010 through FY2012 dataset provides a list of planned or closed data centers by agency and by city/state location since the FDCCI started in February 2010. The Data Center Consolidation Task Force meets monthly to review the progress of each consolidation project and ensure government-wide alignment among agency efforts, where appropriate. The Task Force comprises data center program managers, facilities managers, and sustainability officers from 24 agencies that work together to share progress toward individual agency goals. As its work evolves, the Task Force will serve as a "community of practice" for agency CIOs and data center program managers to share best practices and enhance consolidation effectiveness. See collateral information about the FDCCI, including the definition of a data center and other FAQs (http://www.cio.gov/pages.cfm/page/FDCCI ).

Open interest is reported separately by reportable and non-reportable positions for Producer/Merchant/Processor/User, Swap Dealers, Managed Money. and Other Reportables holdings, including spreading, changes from the previous report, percents of open interest by category, and numbers of traders. Agriculture futures market data is also grouped by crop year, where appropriate, and shows the concentration of positions held by the largest four and eight traders.

Public Elementary and Secondary Education School Data - National and State Snapshots

National Assessment of Education Progress, ...
View charts and tables with key data and download tables of key data on public elementary and secondary education for each state. [NOTE: Each state defines its own academic content, assessments, and academic achievement standards; therefore, achievement results are not comparable across states. In addition, because states periodically review and revise their assessment systems, it is often not possible to compare trends within a state across years.] Following the passage of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), the U.S. Department of Education has collected more data than ever before about the academic performance of our students and schools. See data on how we are doing as a nation-student achievement in reading and math, high school graduation rates, schools making adequate yearly progress, highly qualified teachers, student participation in tutoring and school choice options, state participation in flexibility options, and more. ED Data Express is a Web site designed to improve the public's ability to access and explore high-value state-level education data collected by the U.S. Department of Education. The site is designed to be interactive and to present the data in a clear, easy-to-use manner, with options to download information into Excel or manipulate the data within the Web site. The site currently includes data from EDFacts, Consolidated State Performance Reports (CSPR), State Accountability Workbooks, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP), the College Board, and the Department's Budget Service office. The ED Data Express site currently includes school counts, student counts, advanced placement test data, state test data, NAEP data, funding data, highly qualified teacher data, school choice and supplemental educational services, adequate yearly progress data, counts of schools in need of improvement, statistical components, AYP components, annual measurable objectives, and other accountability workbook data.
