131st Bomb Wing

The 131st Bomb Wing is located at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. Its primary operational mission is to provide full spectrum, expeditionary, B-2 global strike and combat support capabilities. The Wing is also dedicated to providing for the unit's overall combat readiness, operating support functions for tenant and attached units, and for performing combat and emergency duty in support of both federal and state missions. The 131st Bomb Wing Detachment 1, cannon range, is the state's only aerial bombing and gunnery range, serving all services.

As an Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist, you'll operationally check and electrically test aircraft weapons release and gun systems, drive bomb lift trucks, and control many different types of test equipment and gauges, doing repairs as needed. <p>As a Pavement and Construction Equipment Specialist you'll maintain and operate heavy construction equipment to support the mission by constructing and maintaining concrete and asphalt runways, aircraft parking aprons, and roads. The special projects you work on could be anything from building an entire air base, to constructing emergency disaster relief facilities, to erecting high-tech security fences.
