Provides strategic policy oversight, interpretation, and guidance that enhances readiness of the total force.  Download Army Regulation (AR) 600-9 – this AR provides guidance found in the Department of Defense Instruction 1308.1 which establishes a weight control program and guidance for body fat standards across the services.

Within the Soldier Fitness Tracker, “Losing Weight” is one of several Interactive self-development nutrition training modules available once you have completed the Global Assessment Tool.  Other topics include High Performance Nutrition, Supplements and Fluids, Nutrition in the Field, Fueling the Military Family, and Encouraging Healthy Habits as a Leader.  This online training is part of the Comprehensive Soldier Fitness Program and designed to help you increase strength and resilience.  An AKO account is required to complete this training.
