103rd Air Control Squadron

The 103rd Air Control Squadron is based in Orange and is known as "Yankee Watch." The mission of the 103rd Air Control Squadron is real-time detection, identification and surveillance of air traffic for combat operations and homeland defense. They provide the senior theater commander with an additional means to plan, direct, and execute joint or combined air operations. Capabilities and services include providing air surveillance photography, aircraft control and force marshaling, and a communication network to support air operations and the air command structure. The 103rd ACS is the oldest unit of its kind in the United States military.

<p>Generator sets, air conditioners, hydraulic test stands, air compressors, bomb lifts, heaters this is just some of the equipment that stays put on the ground when an F-22 or A-10 is in the air on a mission. The Air National Guard requires a lot of Aerospace Ground Equipment to keep its aircraft in peak condition, and it's the job of the Aerospace Ground Equipment Specialist to make sure those tools are in always in tip-top shape. As a Vehicle and Vehicular Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you'll inspect, troubleshoot and repair vehicles such as dump trucks, bucket loaders, crawler and wheeled tractors, cranes, motor graders, snow removal equipment, sweepers, aircraft cargo loading vehicles, forklifts, aircraft towing vehicles and aircraft servicing vehicles. When a natural disaster strikes or an enemy attacks, the Air Guard needs vehicles that are ready to go. As a Client Systems Specialist in the Air National Guard, it'll be your responsibility to keep this crucial equipment functioning at peak performance.
