BARRIERS TO WOMEN IN BUSINESS
The Asia Foundation just released the comprehensive research report, Access to Trade and Growth of Women's SMEs in APEC Developing Economies, a joint initiative of the Foundation, the U.S. State Department, and APEC. While women's contribution to economies is increasing across Asia, there are still barriers. The report includes specific recommendations for governments and regional bodies to take steps to build a more inclusive business environment. The report will be launched publicly on Monday, March 11 at the United States Mission to the United Nations in conjunction with the 57th Commission on the Status of Women.
