The Consulate General is open from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, except for U.S. and Canadian holidays.
Please note the American Citizen Services (ACS) office is open to the public Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and Wednesday afternoon from 2:00-3:00 PM.
The Consulate is closed on all major American and Canadian holidays, including Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day. For a complete list of closure dates, please consult our main Embassy website.
All visitors, with or without an appointment, must present themselves at 1155 St. Alexandre Street (just north of René-Lévesque Boulevard) and identify themselves to a security guard. From there, they will be directed to the appropriate office.
All visitors to U.S. Consulate Montréal must follow certain security procedures. Any visitor who declines to be screened by U.S. Consulate security personnel will be prohibited from entering the Consulate.

The Visa Unit is not able to accept communication by facsimile machine or telephone, but we will review and reply to online inquiries in the order they are received.
