224th Joint Communications Support Squadron

The mission of the 224th Joint Communications Support Squadron is to provide an organized militia: trained, disciplined and motivated to serve, protect and defend the state of Georgia and the United States. Located in Brunswick, Georgia, the 224th provides deployable tactical communications for Joint Task Force Headquarters and Joint Special Operations Task Force Headquarters. It can operate in environments without a reliable terrestrial network, and is often the first to deploy in order to establish communications networks and other C4 services to enhance command and control between units, services, or coalition forces.

<p>In the Air National Guard, maintaining our communications systems is integral to mission success. That's why we need Cyber Transport Systems Specialists to deploy, sustain, troubleshoot and repair standard voice, data and video network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems and cryptographic equipment. In this role, you'll manage devices and systems with the most current software tools. You'll also implement and maintain all aspects of network systems and cryptographic equipment and video services, using technical data, voltage and waveform measurements, and block diagrams.</p><p>Cyber Transport Systems Specialists are specially trained in:</p><ul><li>Electronic and network principles</li><li>Information assurance, telephony, copper and fiber-optic transmission principles</li><li>Cryptographic techniques</li><li>Network system installation practices</li><li>Project and circuit diagram interpretation</li><li>Test equipment, special tools, and management practices</li><li>Must maintain Top Secret SSBI security clearance</li></ul> Cyber Transport Systems

As a Client Systems Specialist in the Air National Guard, it'll be your responsibility to keep this crucial equipment functioning at peak performance. Client Systems Specialists need at least a secret clearance in order to access classified areas.
