163rd Reconnaissance Wing

The MQ-1 Predator is a medium-altitude, long-endurance, remotely piloted aircraft. The MQ-1's primary mission is interdiction and conducting armed reconnaissance against critical, perishable targets. When the MQ-1 is not actively pursuing its primary mission, it acts as the Joint Forces Air Component Commander-owned theater asset for reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition in support of the Joint Forces commander. Currently the Wing is involved in the war effort on a daily basis, and trains maintainers, pilots, and sensor operators for the Active duty, Reserve, and Guard encompassing the entire Remotely Piloted Aircraft community.

<p>They may seem harmless, but insects, rodents, and birds can carry infectious diseases that could significantly debilitate an Air National Guard unit.  They can also wreak havoc in the systems that keep an Air Guard facility functioning at optimal performance levels. That's why the Pest Management Specialist is an important member of the Air Guard team. <p>As a Public Health Specialist, you'll be working to protect the men and women of the Air National Guard from a vast array of disease and illness. In this job, you'll interview, educate and ensure proper treatment of patients, inspect food service and public facilities for sanitation standards, educate people in correct sanitary practices, and help develop and monitor physical exam requirements. You'll also teach occupational health education for workers exposed to physical, biological and chemical hazards in their workplace.
