ADHOC DESCRIPTIONS

Set Back Width” - Minimum required horizontal distance in master units measured from the base of the SMSE wall to the daylight of existing ground. This number MUST be greater than zero. Note, the use of a bottom profile may cause this value to fail. In the event the minimum setback width is not met by the use of a profile, a warning message will be drawn indicating such. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

Embedment Depth” - Minimum depth below existing ground in master units measured to the bottom of the SMSE wall lifts. This number MUST be greater than zero. Note, the use of a bottom profile may cause this value to fail. In the event the minimum embedment depth is not met by the use of a profile, a warning message will be drawn indicating such. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

Top Reinf Depth” - Minimum of the wall lift height times 2, this depth in master units is measured from the top of the MSE wall to the top of the Soil Nail wall. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

Wall Foreslope” - Slope in a Rise:Run format of the ground line connecting the shoulder to the top of the MSE wall. Be sure to include the colon between the numbers. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

MSE Wall Batter” - Slope in a Rise:Run format of the outside face of the MSE wall. Be sure to include the colon between the numbers. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

MSE Wall Facing Width” - Optional width in master units of the MSE wall face. Set to zero if not required. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

Bottom Reinf Factor” - Reinforcement factor used in determining the width of the bottom portion of the MSE wall. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation. The bottom width calculation may be overridden in phase three design when a soil nail wall chain is set.

Min Bottom Reinf Width” - Width in master units specified to control the MSE wall bottom reinforcement width. The width of the bottom of the MSE wall will never be less than this value. The bottom width calculation may be overridden in phase three design when a soil nail wall chain is set.

Top Reinf Factor” - Reinforcement factor used in determining the width of the top portion of the MSE wall reinforcement. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

SN Wall Batter” - Slope in a Rise:Run format of the “inside” face of the Soil Nail Wall. Be sure to include the colon between the numbers. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

Soil Nail Wall Width” - Optional width in master units of the Soil Nail Wall face. Set to zero if not required. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

Wall Lift Height” - Thickness in master units of each MSE Wall lift. This number MUST be greater than zero. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

Wall Excavation Slope” - Slope in a Rise:Run format of the existing unsuitable line connecting to the existing ground line for the SMSE Wall. Be sure to include the colon between the numbers. Refer to the SMSE wall diagrams above for a graphical representation.

BottomFootingProfName” - Specify the name of the proposed profile associated with the Phase 2/3 Design of the SMSE wall. This profile will be applied at the outside toe of the MSE portion of the wall in a Phase 2 or Phase 3 design.

IMPORTANT: Set this to “none” until the phase 2/3 chain and profile have been established using Cross Section Reports and COGO. In the phase 2/3 design the user MUST specify the correct COGO profile name to this adhoc.

MSEWallChainName” - Specify the name of the proposed chain associated with the Phase 2/3 Design of the SMSE wall. The chain will be used as a station reference for the MSE Wall Chain for phase 2 and phase 3 design.

IMPORTANT: Set this to “none” until the phase 2/3 chain and profile have been established using Cross Section Reports and COGO. In the phase 2/3 design the user MUST specify the correct COGO chain name to this adhoc.

SNWallChainName” - Specify the name of the proposed chain associated with the Phase 3 Design of the SMSE wall. This chain will locate the toe of the Soil Nail Wall and is used as a horizontal reference only. The stationing of this chain is irrelevant.

IMPORTANT: Set this to “none” until the phase 3 chain and profile have been established using Cross Section Reports and COGO. In the phase 3 design the user MUST specify the correct COGO chain name to this adhoc.

UNLOCK Wall Foreslope” - When designing a phase 2 or 3 wall using a chain and profile, the user may elect to have all wall lifts the same thickness including the top lift. To achieve this set this adhoc to Y (Yes). This will force the top lift to be the same thickness as the other lifts and ultimately vary the wall foreslope.
