A firm started by Paul Allen and Michael Miliken is offering a world class business education via the Internet. Participating schools are the Chicago, Columbia, and Stanford Universities and the London School of Economics. They are using the Lotus Learning Space technology allowing people to learn they way they want through self-paced materials, collaboration with others using GroupWare or live collaboration in a virtual classroom.

The American Council on Education

(ACE) College Credit Recommendation Service has conducted an on-site review of 39 FAA Academy courses (9 new courses and 30 re-review courses). All 39 courses received college credit recommendations.

Over 500 FAA Academy and Center for Management and Executive Leadership (CMEL) courses are currently listed in the National Guide to Educational Credit for Training Programs, published by ACE. The ACE program assists FAA employees who wish to apply for college credit for recommended FAA training courses.

Academy and CMEL courses recommended for college credit are listed on the FAA Academy website. Select "Training Catalog" and find the entry "College Credit for FAA Training Courses (ACE)". Also available at the site are guidelines for obtaining a transcript of FAA courses recommended for college credit.

Schools with established on line degree programs

that are regionally accredited, have all the courses required for the degree and have graduated a significant number of students and do not have a residency requirement can be found at www.intered.com. This site lists the name of the school, type of degree, the cost per credit hour and the number graduated.
