SDO will be sponsoring the November 15, 2009 Sunday Experiment program. Come to the Goddard Visitor Center from 1:00pm - 3:00pm and discover our closest star... the Sun.

During the event, families with young children can come explore the Sun through fun and easy hands-on activities. A special Science on a Sphere presentation will be given by one of our very own Solar Scientists.

• Activity 1: UV Beads - design your own solar bracelets and watch how they change rain or shine.
• Activity 2: Create your own Sun - create an artists rendition of our closest star using paper plates, pipe cleaners, and much much more.
• Activity 3: Solar Pizzas - find out how big the Earth would be if we shrunk the Sun to the size of basketball.
