15 Dec Italian Admiral Assumes Command of NATO Task Group

The Italian Logistic Support vessel Nave Etna provided the venue for the change of command ceremony of SNMG1. The new task force commander is Rear Admiral Mattesi.  Vice Admiral Witthauer -Deputy Commander Allied Maritime Northwood is greeted by Rear Admiral Mattesi (Right of picture)   SNMG1 personnel witness the change of command ceremony as the task force Commander Commodore Rune hands over to Rear Admiral Mattesi.
