Active assisted / passive range of motion with wand
Range of motion with wand: Lying supine, sitting or standing. Holding the end of the stick with the thumb on top;
use the other arm to provide assistance to direct arm upward whether to front or to the side.
Wand external rotation: Place the end of the wand/stick in the middle of the palm. Keep your elbow to your side as you apply pressure with the other arm. Alternate motion at 90 degree abduction – hold wand with both hands like a bench press,
raise both arms overhead with both arms together.
Pause 1-2 seconds at end of range.
