R&D 100
Each year, R&D Magazine sponsors an international contest in which the 100 most technologically significant new products are chosen to receive an R&D 100 Award. Products introduced in the previous calendar year are eligible for consideration.
Since 1963, these prestigious awards have been helping companies provide the important initial push a new product needs in order to compete successfully in the new marketplace. The winning of an R&D 100 Award stamps a new product as one of the most innovative ideas of the year and endows it with a mark of excellence known throughout government and industry.
ORNL is first among Department of Energy laboratories and second in the world in total number of R&D 100 Awards won since the inception of the program.
