Travel Model Improvement Program (TMIP)

The Travel Model Improvement Program (TMIP) has been conducting research and delivering technical assistance and training to local, regional and state transportation planning professionals for almost 20 years. Over this period there have been substantive changes in policy focus, methodological approaches and technical capabilities. Throughout, TMIP has consistently worked to advance the practice and support transportation professionals as they respond to current and future challenges. Today, TMIP continues its mission of transferring and improving travel analysis practices and ensuring that transportation professionals are well equipped to support sound policy decisions.

Introducing TMIP Talks...

Each quarter, TMIP will invite prominent professionals in the field of transportation planning to give short TMIP Talks on a topic of their choosing which aligns with TMIP's goals and objectives. These 10-15 minute talks will address a wide range of topics and provide the user community with access to some of the industry's most important leaders, policy-makers and practitioners. The purpose of the TMIP Talks series is to stimulate a conversation focused on the critical issues facing our industry today and into the future.

TMIP Talks will be launched in 2013.
