Command Chief Master Sgt. Kevin L. Muehler
Command Chief Master Sgt. Kevin L. Muehler is the 119th Wing Command Chief, of the North Dakota Air National Guard. As the wings senior enlisted leader, Chief Muehler is the primary advisor to the installation commander on all matters concerning discipline, morale, welfare, effective Utilization, professional development and career progression of over 900 personnel. He is the Functional Manager and administrator of the Wings’ First Sergeant Program for the Wing Commander. Chief Muehler began his career in the US Air Force in June 1978 and was assigned to the F-5E Aggressor Squadron and after two years was selected to be a member of the Air Demonstration Squadron “Thunderbirds”. In 1986 he joined the New York Air National Guard’s 106th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Group, Westhampton Beach. In 1988 he transferred to the North Dakota Air National Guard “Happy Hooligans” 119th Fighter Group, Fargo ND. Since being with the “Happy Hooligans he has held several positions at the 119th Wing to include Pnuedraulics Systems Specialist, F-16 Crewchief (Phase Docks, Quality Assurance), Operations Intelligence Superintendent (Mission Intelligence coordinator (MIC), Senior Mission Intelligence Coordinator(SMIC)) and the Chief Enlisted Manager (CEM) in the 119th Operational Support Squadron.
Chief Muehler was born in Breckenridge, Minn., and in 1978 graduated from Wahpeton Senior High School, N.D. In the fall of 1977, he enlisted in the USAF under the delayed enlisted program and in May 1978 he reported to Lackland AFB Texas, where he attended basic military training.
