The Nashville District Library is the technical library for the Nashville and Chicago Districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The Library contains a specialized, technical collection of print and electronic resources. Areas of emphasis include scientific and engineering publications. We also have materials concerning law, project management, history, professional development, fisheries and fish biology, and more. Our archive contains records of the Corps' past and current civil engineering projects, reports of research facilities, environmental studies, documents relating to Nashville District projects, and Corps’ histories for the district and division.
The Nashville District Library mission is to retrieve and disseminate information as well as to provide access to information resources and services in support of the Nashville and Chicago Districts’ missions. However, we also welcome requests for information from the general public. Much of the information we have, including cemetery relocation reports, real estate acquisition reports and maps, historic flood information, and photographs are of interest to those who have an interest in the area’s history, including genealogists.
Our collection is primarily print-based and not open to the public. However, items may be borrowed via inter-library loan. Our library symbol in First Search is AEZ. If you would like to borrow Nashville District Library materials please initiate your request via your home library.
