ICE removes alien wanted for involvement in double homicide

Washington – Daniel Moreno Orrego, who was wanted by Colombian authorities for attempted double murder, was removed from the United States by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and turned over to authorities in Bogotá, Colombia on April 26.

The Rama Jurisdiccional in Medellin, issued an arrest warrant for Moreno, who is a Colombian national. According to authorities in Medellin, Moreno is currently being investigated for illegal possession of a weapon, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit acts of terrorism.

Moreno entered the United States in 2006, using a bogus passport.

In March 2010, ICE agents from the Newark office arrested Moreno in New Jersey.
