This course is designed for Federal Aviation Administration and Federal agency personnel, including applicable support personnel, responsible for investigations of helicopter accidents, as well as engineering support personnel and safety program managers. No previous helicopter experience is required. Persons with helicopter experience should attend to gain valuable rotorcraft investigation training. This course will be offered to all other Federal agencies and foreign governments on a first-come, first-serve basis. This rotorcraft course gives the inspector and investigator an in-depth look at the specifics of helicopter accident investigations and features presentations by accident investigators from major helicopter manufacturers. The presentation level provides initial helicopter accident investigation training to the uninitiated, while at the same time, serves as a refresher for the "old hand". Once the basics are covered, the course then builds on those basics to bring all participants up to a journeyman level in helicopter accident investigation. This course is open to active aircraft accident investigators only; no attorneys, insurance representatives, or consultants.
