The South Carolina Digital Library (SCDL) is a collaborative effort that includes South Carolina’s schools, libraries, archives, museums, and other cultural heritage institutions. SCDL’s mission is to encourage our collaborators to create, maintain, and promote digital collections that represent South Carolina's historical and cultural resources while following state-level guidelines that are based on national standards and best practices. Currently there are over 80,000 primary resources available in the database from approximately 30 cultural heritage institutions around the state. The primary resources include photographs, books, manuscripts, maps, audio and video files.

Rubric Assessment of Information Literacy Skills (RAILS)
This website facilitates the assessment of digital literacy, information literacy, and critical thinking skills by providing example rubrics, training materials, readings, and a discussion forum. The rubric on this site serve two goals: first, they allow educators to assess student digital literacy skill levels; second, they articulate these skills so that students can learn what it is they should be able to know and do with regard to information in all formats. All rubrics included in the site can be modified and saved in new versions by anyone who registers (free) as a site participant. This site is designed for teachers, professors, librarians, information professionals, students, and parents.
