Attention: eDecs account access procedures
As of June 30, 2005, eDecs will enforce more strict password selection requirements. Although the procedure used to
access your account has not changed, you will be required to create a new password, which must meet "strong" password
guidelines (see below). This change will provide a higher level of security to your account.
Coupled with this change will be an on-line account recovery feature which will allow you to recover a lost password in a
more timely manner.
Note: As of June 30, the format of your password must match the following pattern:
- Length: Between 8 and 20 characters.
- Include at least one lower case letter (a-z).
- Include at least one upper case letter (A-Z).
- Include at least one number (0-9).
Example: 5aTurday1"
In addition, you will be prompted to change your password every three months.
To further secure your account, and to utilize the automated account recovery feature, you will be required to select a secret
question/answer to be stored with your account (e.g., "City you were born in?" - "New York"). The account recovery feature will be
automated so that you may recover lost account information either with your existing UserID, or by answering your secret question.
Requested information will be provided to the e-mail address you maintain on file.
