Mission

Regional Command - Capital ensures freedom of movement for the population, the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the international community in order to enable good governance and development in Kabul. Earning the trust of the Afghan people is at the core of our mission. RC-Capital conducts population-centric, comprehensive counterinsurgency operations within its area of responsibility, in full partnership with Afghan National Security Forces, and in coordination with GIRoA, UNAMA, the International Community, ISAF Joint Command and other relevant organizations, and supports security, stability and building actions with focus on governance and development improvements in order to establish and maintain a secure environment.


Area of Responsibility

RC-Capital includes the province of Kabul.

NATO Nations: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Turkey, U.S.

Non-NATO Nations: Azerbaijan, Georgia

• 1st Battalion Motorized Task Force (Camp Dogan)
• 2nd Battalion Motorized Task Force (Camp Gazi)
• National Support Battalion (Camp Dogan)
