Subject:	Special Salary Rates for IT Workers
The Office of Personnel Management has issued a memorandum to agency human resources directors that provides additional information and guidance on the new special salary rates for information technology (IT) workers. OPM recently approved special rates for all GS-334 (computer specialist), GS-854 (computer engineer), and GS-1550 (computer scientist) positions at grades GS-5/7/9/11/12 Governmentwide, effective in January 2001.
