The leaves are quickly changing color, so grab your favorite sweater and go do something fun this weekend!

Central Park Bagel Bark – Munch on pastries, bagels, and coffee with fellow dog walkers during off-leash hours, courtesy of the Central Park Conservancy’s Central Park Paws. Saturday, October 15, 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. 

Coastal Cleanup at Orchard Beach – Love the beach and want to help keep it pristine for next beach season? Join fellow nature lovers this weekend to help keep this stretch of waterfront on the Long Island Sound clean. Registration is required. Sunday, October 16, 10 a.m.

Poe Cottage Post-Restoration Tours – Make your friends jealous and be one of the first to take a tour of the recently restored Edgar Allan Poe Cottage. Saturday, October 15, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Pumpkin Patch at Queens County Farm Museum – October is pumpkin month at the Farm Museum! Wander through the planting fields to find your favorite orange treat! Sunday, October 16, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Recycling Loop-de-Loop – Make your own grocery bag, spin yarn from local wool and test your NYC recycling skills at this one day event in Union Square! Saturday, October 15, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. 

Winterize Yourself – Winter is right around the corner. Learn how to protect yourself from the cold weather and all the colds, pains and other ailments it brings. Sunday, October 16, 2 p.m.
