Welcome to the National Archives Shop
Our Mission
The mission of the Foundation for the National Archives is to increase public awareness of the importance
of the National Archives and the billions of government records it holds in trust for the American people. Through
financial and creative support, the non-profit Foundation assists the Archivist of the United States in developing
educational programs, exhibitions, publications, Web-based initiatives and marketing campaigns, all with the goal
of improving history and civics education nationwide and encouraging active citizen participation in our democracy.
The Archives Shop plays a vital role in fulfilling this mission by offering quality products based on the
holdings of the National Archives. All proceeds from the Shop go directly to support the National Archives
Experience and educational programming at the Archives.
